Matt Dirigo A/E in early 2022 after a multifaceted Architectural career including work at most levels of Architectural, A/E, Design/Build, and Residential Firms, and has also held Architectural positions in large municipal and corporate/industrial settings.
Matt is an NCARB registered Architect licensed in several states including Maine for 37 years. He graduated from The University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning after Westminster College in Pennsylvania as a Physics/Liberal Arts Major.
With a career that began with hand-drafting ink on vellum and progressed through several CAD and BIM production programs, Design, Planning, Directing, Managing and mentoring others, he has seen that technical competence, continuous learning, and the basic principles of a logical design process are essential principles. He supports good basic skills, together with creativity and insight gained from broad exposure to develop well-rounded and capable problem-solvers able to adapt and contribute to a changing world.
Matt has two competing outside pursuits: Aviation and a martial art. He’s been a Flight Instructor for 34 years, flown corporate turbine & turbojet aircraft professionally, and currently instructs in a seaplane part-time. He has also trained and taught a traditional Japanese martial art from college days until Covid, still seeking a way to reestablish this regimen.
